Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Huntsville, AL seeks a Manager, HR Business Partner to lead a two-person HRBP team and provide strategic HR guidance to leaders and employees at our Advanced Manufacturing Facilities. The HRBP will partner with the broader HR team to drive HR strategies that support business objectives.

The role includes owning end-to-end talent management—workforce planning, development, performance, and compensation—while coaching HRBPs and managers to improve engagement and retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of related experience or graduate degree with 7 years; and in lieu of a degree, 13 years of experience.

Job Description

L3Harris is seeking a dynamic Manager, HR Business Partner (HRBP) who will support and provide guidance, counsel and HR expertise directly to employees and leaders at our Advanced Manufacturing Facilities in Huntsville. The HRBP will lead a team of two and partner with the broader HR team to drive HR strategies that help accomplish business objectives.

Essential Functions

• Directly support assigned leaders and partner with other business leaders, HRBPs, and Center of Excellence to implement strategic initiatives to drive business growth and improve organizational capability
• Support team in driving effective onboarding strategy as the sites grow
• Coach HRBPs and managers on employee issues to improve employee engagement and retention
• Reinforce company policies, safety procedures, and workplace expectations
• Utilize trends and analytics to provide proactive recommendations and propose solutions to enable sound talent divisions and initiatives
• Identify and diagnose issues to develop, recommend, and implement root cause solutions that enhance employee engagement/experience
• Build and utilize relationships with functional HRBPs to influence business priorities within the functions
• Responsible for leading end-to-end talent management processes within the division, including workforce planning, talent development, performance management, and compensation
• Manage projects and special initiatives within and outside the HR function

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience working as an HR Business Partner with increasing scope and responsibility, supporting various levels within the organization, preferably within a matrix and government contracting environment
• Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing, coaching, and consulting skills
• Possesses a high degree of professional integrity and confidentiality with an eye for attention to detail
• Knowledge of HR systems such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, and SuccessFactors
