Job summary

Wisk Aero LLC is seeking a Human Factors Specialist to lead evaluations ensuring safe supervision of multiple aircraft by a single operator. You will drive task analysis, study plans, and UI design considerations to inform aircraft and ground control system development.

The role requires a Master’s in HF or related field (PhD preferred), 8+ years of experience, and strong aerospace knowledge. Onsite Mountain View, competitive salary and extensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Human Factors, Cognitive Ergonomics, Psychology, or equivalent (PhD preferred).
Experience in measuring workload and human performance using subjective scales and physiological data.
Experience in designing qualitative and quantitative experiments for HF analysis.
Knowledge of aerospace operations, aircraft systems, and regulatory environment.
Experience preparing data sets for statistical analysis using SPSS, Stata, etc.
Familiarity with UI design standards for aerospace applications.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with teams to understand tasks allocated to the human operator and why.
Develop and own Wisk’s task analysis to inform UI design decisions and study plans.
Help identify most challenging scenarios for HF evaluation and testing.
Plan and lead human factors evaluations from goals to data analysis and recommendations.
Support certification activities for Gen 6 aircraft and ground control station.
