Job summary

JTEKT North America is seeking a Manager for HUB Testing, Test Engineering and Projects to lead HUB bearing testing and the associated tool design and projects. This role reports to Engineering Shared Services and guides a technical team in a lab environment.

You will drive test programs, ensure IATF16949 compliance, manage equipment upgrades, and collaborate with product and application engineering to support launches and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in mechanical/electrical engineering with leadership experience.
• 5+ years supervising exempt and non-exempt staff.
• Experience with automated machines, sensors and data acquisition systems.
• Knowledge of IATF16949 quality systems.
• Interest in applying AI/analytics to testing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead HUB testing programs and results issuance for HUB tests.
• Provide Test Engineering and Tool Design support for ESS bearing projects.
• Maintain a safe lab environment in coordination with other lab managers.
• Oversee project execution: equipment upgrades, major improvements, and new builds.
• Ensure documentation meets IATF16949 guidelines and drives KPI performance.
