Qualifications

• Iowa Coaching Authorization required.
• Experience coaching at high school varsity level preferred.
• Strong knowledge of baseball rules and coaching techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a coaching team.
• Up-to-date Ballard trainings or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and executing training sessions to improve skills and team tactics.
• Scout opponents, analyze game footage, and develop game plans and strategies.
• Provide feedback to players to improve performance.
• Collaborate with coaching staff in-game and practice decisions.
• Teach and demonstrate baseball skills to individuals and groups.
• Assess player performance during practices and games.
• Assist with scheduling, equipment management, and travel arrangements.
• Maintain open communication with players to foster a positive team environment.
• Represent the team at community events and engage with fans.
• Ensure compliance with school, conference, and state rules.
