Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
• Disposal of waste including medically contaminated items.
• Chemical product safety.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Skill in operating custodial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, dusts, mops, scrubs, washes, vacuums, waxes, and polishes building surfaces and hardware.
• Cleans and sanitizes washrooms, bedrooms, and laboratories; maintains supplies in washrooms.
• Collects and disposes of trash; moves furniture as needed.
• Performs sanitary inspections for infection control compliance.
• Supervises housekeeping staff and assists in training.
