Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor-style role to oversee staff and ensure rooms and areas are cleaned to standard. The position includes training responsibilities and staffing replacements for sick calls, with a focus on efficient personnel utilization. The role reports to Housekeeping Management and operates on a 7am-3:30pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow simple English instruction.
• Experience as a Houseworker; project work exposure preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Distributes and monitors workflow for assigned staff and provides resources.
• Performs housekeeping duties including mopping, cleaning beds, and rooms.
• Maintains isolation procedures in nurseries and formula rooms when required.
• Prepares rooms for meetings and arranges furniture neatly.
• Empties trash and disposes of waste per procedures.
