Job Summary:

Serves as a working leader responsible for leading a minimum of three housekeeping attendants in performing housekeeping duties to ensure Navy Lodge standards are met. Regularly performs the full range of housekeeping services similar to a Housekeeping Attendant, including but not limited to cleaning guest rooms, public spaces, storage areas, laundry rooms, and exterior spaces. These services include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, washing, moving items, polishing, cleaning, and debris removal. Duties may also include breakfast setup, cleanup, and maintenance, using hand and powered cleaning equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Sets the pace and directs Housekeeping Attendants, ensuring work is performed efficiently and to standards.
  • Trains staff on proper work methods and procedures.
  • Inspects guest rooms for cleanliness and maintenance, ensuring standards are met or exceeded.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and upkeep of Navy Lodge facilities and work areas.
  • Provides excellent guest relations by greeting and welcoming guests.
  • Maintains records of housekeeping activities, including room status and guest check-in/check-out dates.
  • Assists with breakfast setup, display, and cleanup, ensuring areas are returned to original condition.
  • May assist with event setup and breakdown, including chairs and tables.
  • Oversees and communicates instructions from supervisors or managers to staff.
  • Assists in training new staff and answers questions regarding policies and procedures.
  • Ensures work schedules are followed and reports progress and issues to management.
  • Maintains a safe and clean environment.
  • Obtains necessary certifications related to job duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

No experience required. Preferences include a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months of housekeeping experience, and leadership or training experience.
