Job summary

New York State Office of Mental Health in New Hampton, NY is seeking a Housekeeper with working-supervisor responsibilities to maintain cleanliness and care across state facilities, including staff living quarters and common areas. You will lead a small team of 3–5 cleaners, perform light to heavy cleaning tasks, requisition linens and supplies, and ensure a safe, orderly environment for patients and staff.

Shift may include weekends.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and to communicate orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of assigned buildings and areas in State facilities.
• Supervise a staff of about three to five lower-level cleaning personnel.
• Requisition and distribute linens and household supplies.
