Tufts Medicine’s Lowell General Hospital is hiring Environmental Services staff to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment. You will support housekeeping, participate in shift coverage, and help with linen and supply coordination. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork within a hospital setting.
Responsibilities include daily cleaning, inventory oversight, and adhering to infection control and safety protocols while serving patients, visitors, and staff on site.

This role focuses on activities related to the support services functions, such as dietary and food services, environmental services, general facilities, repair and maintenance, parking, sterilization and transportation to ensure all required support activities are completed in a timely manner and meet the organization's quality standards and expectations. The role also focuses on performing environmental services duties, researching the environmental effects of activities to develop methods of controlling or minimizing factors contributing to environmental damage and improving the effectiveness of restorative activities. It requires broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools, may require vocational or technical education, works under limited supervision for routine situations, provides assistance and training to lower‑level employees, and deals with non‑routine problems that require analysis.
Under the direction of the Supervisor/Site Manager, this position performs a variety of housekeeping and administrative tasks and assists in the supervision of housekeeping employees in the absence of the supervisor. This position coordinates the department’s daily tasks among frontline employees and ensures a clean, safe environment. Responsibilities include room inspections, coordinating scheduled floor care, shift lineup coverage, inter‑department customer relations, and supervision of bed tracking. The position will also perform various other tasks to aid the shift, covering shift positions when scheduling constraints exist.

40 Hours - 3pm–11:30pm - Every other weekend (Sat‑Sun) and every other holiday is required.

Pay Range: $17.00 – $20.02
