Job summary

Esquire, a luxury steakhouse in Chicago's Gold Coast, seeks a senior host and shift lead to run the host stand, manage seating flow, and uphold the arrival/departure standards that define first impressions.

You will coach hosts, maintain guest profiles in SevenRooms, and collaborate with the Maître d' to ensure hospitality excellence. Onboarding is planned for mid-to-late October 2026 with on-site work in Chicago.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hosting in upscale settings, including lead or senior shifts.
• Strong SevenRooms and book-management fluency.
• Polished, warm, and organized under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the host team through service; manage the book, seating flow, and waitlist.
• Hold the arrival and departure standard; coach hosts on warmth and precision.
• Maintain the floor view and SevenRooms guest profiles; flag VIPs to the Maître d'.
• Run restroom and public-area checks; keep the entrance pristine.
