Sophia Steak Chicago is seeking a full-time passionate and hospitable Lead Host to join our team.

**Please note: Only candidates with strong experience as a Lead Hostand advanced knowledge of RESYwill be considered.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Must have 2-3 years experience in a restaurantlead role.
  • Create and maintain a strong connection to the guests and community.
  • Exude warmth and hospitality in all interactions.
  • Drive sales and covers through acute management of reservation software.
  • Lead and develop host team.
  • Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations and build relationships with guests while encouraging regulars.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both with guests and team members.
  • Serve guests as part of a team by anticipating their needs, initiating conversation, offering assistance and advice.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both front and back of the house.
  • Passion to learn and participate in daily food and beverage training.
  • Proficiency in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment, including Toast POS system and Rewards Program, Gift Card and Credit Card terminals.
  • Ability to maintain a clean working environment.
  • Must pass general information and food and beverage quizzes.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
  • ServSafe and BASSETT/TIPS Certified.
  • Night and weekend availability is required.
