Job summary

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG) is seeking a Lead Host to greet guests warmly, manage reservations, and set the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

As the first and last person guests see, you will lead the host team, coordinate with the front-of-house and kitchen, and ensure smooth seating and efficient guest flow. This role offers growth opportunities across IRHG's 30+ locations and a supportive, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Responsible for taking reservations using OpenTable.
• Greet guests upon arrival and thank guests on departure.
• Seat guests, provide wait times, and accommodate seating requests.
• Act as a liaison between the kitchen and dining room.
• 2+ years of restaurant host experience
• Positive energy and willingness to assist others
• Able to communicate effectively with managers, employees and guests
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
• Constant standing/walking with occasional stooping or lifting

THE ROLE

As a Lead Host, you are the first and last person each guest sees. Providing a warm hello and goodbye probably feels second nature. You are a key front-of-house role in a restaurant, responsible for overseeing the host team and ensuring smooth guest experiences

What we will ask of you:

• Responsible for taking reservations using the online reservations system in OpenTable
• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival and thank guests as they leave
• When seating is limited, provide guests with estimated waiting time, notify party when table becomes available and accommodate special seating requests for all when possible
• Act as a liaison between the kitchen and dining room, and relay messages to support staff and managers as needed

Requirements for Success:

• At least 2+ years of restaurant host experience required
• Have a positive energy, be ready to assist fellow support staff and work as a team player
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and all guests
• A flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
• Constant standing/walking with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting
