Job summary

HiredFirst is seeking a Hospital Laboratory Director in Smyrna, TN to lead all operations of the hospital-based laboratory within a clinical network serving numerous facilities across divisions.

The role requires ensuring regulatory compliance with CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, FDA and CMS while setting and executing department strategies to achieve goals in service, quality, financial performance, and personnel management. You will supervise staffing from hiring through development and ongoing coaching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology, or Chemistry.
• Master's degree preferred.
• National Certification as Medical Technologist required.
• State license where required (CA, FL, LA, NV, TN) — required for submission.

Responsibilities

• Lead all operations, programs and activities for the hospital-based laboratory.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, FDA and CMS.
• Oversee staffing lifecycle from hiring to development and performance coaching.
• Manage vendor relationships and supply contracts in coordination with Lab Services and Supply Chain.
