HCA Healthcare Colleton Hospital is seeking a Lead Hospital Housekeeper to oversee Environmental Services across patient and non-patient areas. You will coordinate and supervise all department functions to maintain sterile, welcoming environments in accordance with hospital standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within a 130+ bed facility located in Walterboro, SC. Strong customer service and collaboration with hospital staff are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in food services or hospitality preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital and health care operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the operations and activities of the Environmental Services Department within the hospital.
• Supervises department functions to ensure aseptic and aesthetically pleasing environments.
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory standards (TJC, OSHA, EEOC).

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Lead Environmental Services coordinates the operations and activities of the Environmental Services Department within assigned hospital and hospital department/campus locations. Coordinator provides consistent, high-quality service in a sanitary environment while ensuring State, Local, Federal and Joint Commission regulations, established policies and procedures and department standards of performance are met.

Evaluates existing systems and processes, initiates change and improvements and makes suggestions to Manager.

Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all current policies, procedures and regulatory standards (TJC, OSHA, EEOC and others) within all food and nutritional services areas.

Consistently demonstrates the organization's commitment for and adherence to sound ethical business practices in accordance with the Corporate Integrity and Compliance Program, annual work plan and established policies and procedures.

Coordinates the effective operation of all Environmental Services activities in the organization to provide for an aseptic and aesthetically pleasing environment through coordinating and supervising all functions of the department.

Supports department leadership and acts to achieve the daily operations of the Environmental Services Department assigned areas encompassing but not limited to all patient and non-patient areas of assigned square footage.

What qualifications you will need:

High School Diploma preferred

Minimum of three years’ experience in food services or hospitality preferred.

Knowledge of hospital and health care operations preferred.
