Job summary

Inova is seeking a Hospice Team Physician to deliver compassionate, patient-centered end-of-life care across General Inpatient, Continuous, Routine and Respite settings. You will participate in an interdisciplinary team, develop goals of care, manage complex symptoms, and guide families through advanced care planning while ensuring compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school (MD or DO).
• Completion of an approved residency (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine preferred).
• Board Certified in Hospice & Palliative Medicine or Geriatric Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice clinical care across General Inpatient, Continuous, Routine and Respite levels in diverse settings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement goals of care and treatment plans.
• Manage pain and symptoms using pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic methods.
• Conduct face-to-face assessments for hospice eligibility and ongoing care decisions.
• Support advance care planning and family discussions; maintain patient records and regulatory compliance.
