Qualifications

• Board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine is required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of prior clinical practice in hospice and palliative medicine.
• Record of involvement in education and scholarly activities including mentoring fellows and developing curricula.
• Prior academic leadership appointments and/or experience per ACGME programs is ideal.
• Clinical duties focus on outpatient hospice and palliative care; admin and teaching responsibilities are included.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of the Hospice and Palliative Residency Program.
• Develop curriculum, policies, and procedures; maintain accreditation and state approvals.
• Recruit residents and develop evaluation processes; conduct performance assessments.
• Supervise residents and ensure quality education in patient care.
• Balance clinical, administrative, and teaching duties; lead a faculty team.
