Job summary

TruBlue Home Service Ally is seeking a Lead Home Service Technician / Handyman to oversee and execute high-quality home repairs across Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe, La Jolla, and surrounding areas. You will lead by example, mentor TruPro technicians, and ensure safety and exceptional customer service on every job.

You’ll enjoy year‑round, consistent work, a company vehicle, and strong leadership support as you manage hands-on projects and communicate clearly with clients and your team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on home repair or construction experience.
• Experience mentoring or leading technicians preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Fluent English and authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality home maintenance and repair projects.
• Lead, coach, and support a team of Tru‑Pro technicians.
• Uphold TruBlue’s high standard of professionalism, reliability, and customer care.
• Communicate clearly with customers and manage on-site expectations.
• Ensure safety, accuracy, and consistency across projects.
• Oversee common projects such as bathroom/kitchen upgrades, drywall repair, flooring, carpentry, painting, and basic plumbing/electrical (within scope).

Role: Lead Home Service Technician in Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe, La Jolla, San Marcos, San Diego, Cardiff‑by‑the‑Sea, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach, and surrounding areas.

TruBlue Home Service Ally is a national franchise with over 120 locations that provides trusted handyman repairs, home safety upgrades, and maintenance services to help seniors age in place and support busy families. What You’ll Do

• Perform high‑quality home maintenance and repair projects
• Lead, coach, and support a team of Tru‑Pro® technicians
• Uphold TruBlue’s high standard of professionalism, reliability, and customer care
• Communicate clearly with customers and help manage expectations on‑site
• Ensure safety, accuracy, and consistency across every project
• Common projects include:
• Bathroom and kitchen upgrades
• Drywall repair and patching
• Flooring installation and repair
• General carpentry
• Interior and exterior painting
• Basic plumbing and electrical (within scope)

Who You Are

• 10+ years of hands‑on home repair or construction experience
• Experience managing or mentoring other technicians is preferred
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
• Committed to doing the job right and doing right by your team and clients
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and full toolset
• Fluent in English and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
