Summary:

The Lead Histotechnologist is responsible for problem resolution, training staff, managing daily workflow, and maintaining equipment. This role acts as a team leader and performs technical procedures, including the preparation of microscopic slides, and is responsible for evaluating, preparing, and maintaining these procedures.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree required
• License/Certifications: Certification as a Histotechnologist by a recognized professional organization (ASCP/National Society for Histotechnology) required within six months of start date. QIHC (Qualification in Immunohistochemistry) preferred. Valid Driver’s License required.
• Experience: Two years of Histology experience required.
• Additional Skills/Requirements: May be asked to work at other sites/locations as needed.
