The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is seeking a disciplined professional for the Amity Unit. This role emphasizes safety, supervision, and efficient use of resources to maintain highway infrastructure across Indiana.

You will lead crews, coordinate materials, and ensure work orders meet schedules while training staff and maintaining high standards. This is a full-time opportunity with strong benefits and stability.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL or obtain within 90 days.
• Specialized knowledge of highway maintenance and bridges.
• Experience in maintenance operations and equipment.
• OSHA safety knowledge and compliance experience.
• Supervisory experience of at least one year.

Responsibilities

• Comply with INDOT safety policies and procedures.
• Assign work to units with available materials and equipment.
• Ensure efficient use of personnel, time, and gear.
• Supervise a unit and explain job programs to staff.
• Oversee operations to meet scheduled finish dates.
• Support winter operations, snow/ice removal, brine systems.
• Assist with program implementation and planning.
• Recruit, onboard, and train staff for roles.
• Set expectations, give feedback, and evaluate performance.
• Attend workdays at assigned sites as required.
