Job summary

Theuniversityunion is seeking a head coach to lead the high school program in their sport. You will direct assistant coaches, set goals, and evaluate the program annually while ensuring compliance with SJNA, conference, and WIAA rules.

You will promote the sport within the school and community and recruit athletes. You will schedule practices and games, manage facilities and equipment, monitor safety, and coordinate with the athletic director on budgetary needs.

Qualifications

• Must have worked with high school students.
• Prior knowledge of sports coaching.
• CPR/AED certification preferred.
• First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organizes the program and recruits athletes within SJNA guidelines.
• Coaches during practices and games for varsity squads.
• Maintains a safe environment and manages safety rules.
• Schedules practices, games, and transportation with the Athletic Director.
• Promotes the sport within the school and community and manages public relations.
• Ensures compliance with SJNA, conference, and WIAA rules.
