Job summary

Pathward, N.A. is seeking a Manager, High-Risk Customer Reviews to lead the EDD review team across retail, commercial, and BaaS partnerships. You will set workflow expectations, coach analysts, and ensure timely, compliant decisions in line with BSA/AML requirements.

This role emphasizes process improvement, quality control, metrics, and collaboration with stakeholders to strengthen the organization’s risk posture while maintaining efficiency and accuracy in review outcomes.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in BSA/AML compliance with direct EDD review work for high-risk customers.
• Ability to analyze complex ownership structures and data.
• Prior people leadership experience with coaching and performance management.
• Knowledge of financial crime risks and red flags for risk-based decisions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Adaptability to dynamic regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and develop a team of analysts performing EDD reviews of varying complexity; set performance expectations and provide feedback.
• Own daily operations including intake, assignment, prioritization, and capacity planning to meet SLA targets.
• Establish and monitor team performance metrics and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee case assignment and status management; coordinate rework for quality issues.
• Lead a quality control and training program for completed EDD reviews.
• Maintain and refine team procedures, templates, and job aids; communicate changes.
• Coordinate with business units and stakeholders to obtain required customer information.
• Manage escalations of red flags and SAR investigation handoffs per policy.
• Support EDD/HRC program maturation with process enhancements and tooling opportunities.
• Provide reporting on pipeline health, trends, and risks to management.
• Coordinate audit, compliance testing, and exam support; assist with remediation of findings.
• Lead or support ad hoc projects as assigned.
