Job summary

Robinson Helicopter Company seeks an Experienced Repair Engineer in Torrance, CA, to evaluate aircraft damage, develop repair concepts, and define detailed processes. You will work with customers to confirm repair approaches and coordinate with production and quality teams to implement high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities include root-cause analysis, design review, and drafting service bulletins while ensuring compliance with engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience evaluating and designing repairs for aircraft structures and components.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, structures, and systems engineering concepts as applied to aircraft.
• Proven self-starter requiring minimal supervision with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate service aircraft issues to determine root cause and propose repair solutions.
• Evaluate damage and determine inspection methods to understand component condition.
• Review drawings to develop repair concepts considering original processes and repair constraints.
• Develop detailed repair processes, instructions, and quality checkpoints.
• Engage with customers to discuss damage findings and agree on repair approaches.
• Determine when to return equipment to the home facility for extensive repair or refurbishment.
• Standardize repair processes across similar components to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Support quoting by helping define repair scope and estimate effort and materials.
