Job summary

The Helicopter Pilot/Ground Safety Officer position is based in NASA International's Aircraft Operations Division in Houston. You will pilot aircraft used in research, development, flight training, and test programs and act as the airport liaison for AOD.

Qualified candidates have a current FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with ratings, plus an FAA Flight Instructor Certificate, or equivalent from the armed services, and substantial rotary-wing flight experience including nighttime and recent

Qualifications

• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with ratings OR armed services equivalent.
• FAA Flight Instructor Certificate with ratings OR armed services equivalent.
• Total flight time 1500 hours as pilot-in-command or co-pilot, any weight/class.
• 250 hours PIC in rotary-wing, 75 hours night flying, 100 hours in the preceding 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Pilot aircraft for research, development, flight training, and test programs.
• Serve as airport liaison for AOD and oversee ground safety.
