Job summary

Robinson Helicopter Company is seeking an experienced Production Flight Test and Instructor Pilot to train pilots on Robinson rotorcraft and conduct production flight tests ensuring safety and quality. The role emphasizes adherence to standards, teamwork, and ongoing FAA compliance.

The candidate will teach per curriculum, maintain thorough records, and stay current with regulations and aircraft updates, while supporting continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• Min. 1,000 hours PIC helicopter time, 300+ hours dual instruction in Robinson (R22/R44).
• SFAR 73 Flight Instructor endorsement for R22/R44.
• Current Flight Review endorsement for R22/R44.
• Current FAA 1st or 2nd Class Medical Certificate.
• Passport required or able to obtain one.
• Excellent verbal and written skills with clear explanations.
• Strong knowledge of FAA Parts 61 and 91.
• Prioritize safety in training and flight operations.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and teamwork.
• Willing to work irregular hours and travel periodically.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional flight and ground instruction in Robinson helicopters (R22, R44, R66).
• Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and tailor training plans.
• Comply with SOPs to ensure safe, effective, and efficient flight operations.
• Teach according to established curriculum with high instructional quality.
• Perform production test flights and ground inspections per design and quality criteria.
• Maintain records and compliance documentation per FAA requirements.
• Stay current with FAA regulations and Robinson operational standards.
• Collaborate with pilots, instructors, and staff to improve operations.
• Maintain knowledge of aircraft models, systems, avionics, and updates.
• Provide ideas for continuous product and process improvements.
