Job summary

WM is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team in Massachusetts. You will perform preventative maintenance and repair a wide range of equipment including trucks, bulldozers, and support gear, ensuring reliability and safety on the job site.

Responsibilities include diagnosing complex systems, completing work orders, and maintaining records. 5+ years of experience with heavy equipment and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading preventative maintenance on heavy equipment
• Diagnose and repair complex systems with minimal support
• Valid driver’s license may be required and must have a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment including bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, forklifts, and related tooling
• Diagnose and repair differentials, hydraulics, motors, transmissions, drives, AC and electrical systems
• Follow preventative maintenance checklists and record work orders and oil samples
• Maintain other equipment such as light plants and welders; reference site procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

$29 - $43 based on experience

1st Shift:

Monday-Friday 630am to 330pm

Job Summary

Performs preventative maintenance tasks and troubleshoots and repairs a wide variety of equipment (Trucks, Yellow Iron and Support Equipment).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Repairs as needed equipment (including, but not limited to, bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, front end loaders, yard trucks, farm tractors, forklifts, and company cars).
• Diagnoses and repairs differentials, hydraulic systems, motors, transmissions, drives, air conditioning systems, and electrical systems.
• Performs tasks per preventative maintenance checklist.
• Completes records such as work orders, card files, P.M. checklists, and oil samples.
• Services and maintains other equipment such as light plants, water pump, welders, and other equipment.
• Reference site-specific procedures and more detailed site-specific job descriptions.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience independently leading preventative maintenance and diagnosing complex systems on heavy equipment, with strong proficiency in diagnostic software and minimal need for support.
• A minimum age requirement of 21 years is required at sites that accept hazardous waste.
• Valid driver’s license may be required and must have a clean driving record.

Pay: The expected base pay range for this on‑site position is $29 - $43 . This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
