Job summary

AllSkills Recruiting is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators and Foremen to support large underground utility and telecom construction in Ohio markets including Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati. Projects feature deep excavation, conduit installation, manholes, and other infrastructure for major data center developments.

These are direct-hire, full-benefit roles with overtime available. Relocation assistance is provided; Foremen may receive a company truck for take-home use and live within one hour

Qualifications

• 4–10+ years of heavy equipment or utility construction experience (Foreman).
• Experience with deep excavation and trench box systems, including double-stack trench boxes.
• Experience working around energized or live underground utilities.
• Utility, telecom, or underground infrastructure experience required.
• Data center construction experience is a strong plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of heavy construction equipment on underground utility projects.
• Install conduit, manholes, and related underground infrastructure.
• Adapt quickly to operating different types of heavy equipment as project needs change.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures, including trench protection requirements.
• Lead and supervise field crews on underground utility projects.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and utility prints.
• Coordinate daily activities with Project Managers, Construction Managers, engineers, inspectors, and customers.
• Ensure projects remain on schedule while maintaining quality and safety standards.
