Job summary

Inova Schar Heart and Vascular is seeking a board certified/eligible Heart Failure / Transplant Cardiologist to join our 13-member Heart Failure/Transplant team in the Northern Virginia region. This role emphasizes growth, leadership, and clinical excellence within a premier program.

The successful physician will contribute to comprehensive heart failure therapies, participate in research, and provide outreach across our care continuum for Inova Health System.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited institution; board eligible or board certified in Cardiology.
• Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure.
• Successful completion of ACGME residency program.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership within the Heart Failure/Transplant program and team with cardiothoracic surgeons.
• Contribute to research, clinical expertise, and outreach across the region.
• Deliver high-quality patient care with advanced heart failure therapies including transplant and LVAD.

Education

Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree

Board eligible or board certified in Cardiology

Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure
