Job summary

Jobot seeks a Superintendent in Tampa to oversee healthcare-focused commercial and industrial construction projects. You will direct projects from conception to completion, coordinating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors, ensuring safety and OSHA compliance, and managing schedules and budgets.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in construction management, strong leadership and communication skills, proficiency with construction management software, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role in construction management, specifically within the healthcare sector.
• Deep understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards applicable to active jobsite environments.
• Proficient in construction management systems and software.
• Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment.
• Outstanding leadership, organization, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Review and understand all contract documents, plans, specifications, and addenda.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring that all tasks are carried out according to plan.
• Review work progress on a daily basis and adjust schedules or plans as needed.
• Ensure all project activities comply with company and site safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Communicate with clients, architects, and engineers to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status, daily reports, estimates, and deliverables.
• Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
• Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
