Position Overview

This role is responsible for processing all releases of information (ROI), specifically medical record requests, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and high-quality customer service. The associate must safeguard patient privacy, ensuring only authorized access in compliance with HIPAA, company policies, and requests.

Position Details

• Onsite position in Southaven, MS
• Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST

Key Responsibilities

1. Process patient health information requests following policies and procedures.
2. Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information.
3. Use company and facility software effectively.
4. Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and safeguard patient records.
5. Prepare and manage medical records, including digital imaging and assembling paper records.
6. Respond to internal and external record requests appropriately.
7. Assist with administrative duties and patient walk-ins as needed.
8. Train and mentor staff, participate in projects and quality assurance tasks.
9. Lead training sessions and support onboarding activities.
10. Report issues and opportunities to leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of Health Information Management experience
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with office equipment
• Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
• Effective communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of Health Information experience
• Experience with productivity metrics and customer service
