Job summary

FM Industries, a premier manufacturing solutions provider, is seeking a Hardware Assembler Lead in Livermore, CA. The role involves supervising a hardware installation team and performing kits like helicoils, dowel pins, and PEM nuts on materials such as aluminum and steel.

The candidate will read blueprints, follow tooling instructions, and help develop new processes while training staff and ensuring work orders include accurate routers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Machine Tool Technology.
• Minimum ten years work experience.
• Between three and five years of trade school, vocational education, or four years formal apprenticeship.
• Extensive knowledge of CNC programming.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day production activities with the supervisor to lead hardware installers.
• Kit helicoils for jobs and install helicoils; cut gaskets or masking; dowel pins, keencerts, captive screws, PEM nuts/studs, and Lee plugs on various materials.
• Polish sealing surface lay patterns on post anodize parts.
• Assist in developing new processes and procedures.
• Ensure an accurate router accompanies all work orders.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Machine Tool Technology

Minimum ten years work experience

Between three and five years of trade school, vocational education, or four years formal apprenticeship
