Pilot Company in Inver Grove Heights, MN is seeking employees to process merchandise and fuel transactions, leading 1–2 cashiers on shifts and ensuring accurate end-of-shift reporting. You will follow all guidelines for restricted merchandise, maintain a clean work area, and promote products using upselling techniques.

The role emphasizes delivering quality service to every guest, resolving issues per procedures, and coordinating breaks and placement.

• Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures
• Follow guidelines with regards to sale of restricted merchandise (alcohol, tobacco)
• Maintain an organized and clean work area
• Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products
• Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest
• Handle guest complaints and issues per company processes; resolve conflicts
• Determine break schedules and team placement during shift
• Assist with other travel center functions (deli, showers/restrooms, stocking, coffee)
• Model behaviours that support the company’s purpose; support guests and team members
• Ensure activities comply with rules and procedures
• Complete other duties as assigned

Job Description

The purpose of this job is to process merchandise and fuel transactions. Essential Functions include:

• Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions
• Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures
• Follow company and local guidelines with regards to the sale of any restricted merchandise items (i.e., alcohol, tobacco)
• Maintain an organized and clean work area
• Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products
• Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest
• Handle guest complaints and issues by following company processes and guidelines; resolve team member conflict; and communicate issues to management
• Determine break schedules and team member placement during shift
• Assist with other travel center functions such as maintaining deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, making coffee, etc.
• Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
• Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Complete other duties as assigned

Pay Rates Starting between: $13.85 - $19.63 / hour
