Overview

The Guest Relations Attendant Lead is a highly visible, customer service position. The Guest Relations Attendant Lead must assure that the Guest Relations staff always keep an impeccable and professional appearance while possessing a positive upbeat demeanor. The Guest Relations Attendant Lead must be fully competent in all the Guest Relations positions, assures that staff adhere to all Guest Relations Attendant and Carle Health policies/ procedures and assist the Manager in discipline actions and reviews. The Guest Relations Attendant Lead creates schedules. The Guest Relations Attendant Lead will assure staff supports the Mission and Values of Carle Health to ensure the highest quality patient and guest experience.

Responsibilities


  • Answers questions & problem solves effectively.

  • Maintains that staff can easily approach the Lead for help or answers.

  • Displays an outgoing personality & shows eagerness to help.

  • Maintains an excellent appearance and follows departmental dress code.

  • Stays attentive to post duties and job responsibilities.

  • Represents department well when interacting with others.



  • Uses proper radio communication techniques.

  • Greets patient/visitors of the Medical Center determining their needs for assistance, directions, and escorts.

  • Assists people into and out of their automobiles and transports all luggage.

  • Attends department meetings and training sessions.

  • Coordinates with the volunteer escorts to assure a quick and efficient transport of patients/visitors to their destination.

  • Parks vehicles safely and promptly.

  • Displays respect for other's property.

  • Maintains knowledge of Medical Center locations for efficient assistance.



  • Assists in handling personnel issues including providing insight or information for disciplinary action when needed and performance evaluations.

  • Prepares shift schedules and post assignments.

  • Represents department when interaction with other Hospital departments or outside agencies.

  • Sees that subordinates effectively perform job duties.

  • Takes leadership role and is able to make decision.

  • Motivates employees positively and promotes teamwork

  • Gathers all pertinent information to make decisions.

  • Uses common sense/good judgement in addressing customer service issues.

  • Takes initiative in making decisions and taking action.

  • Maintains calm approach in stressful situation.


*Demonstrates the Carle Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines. *Demonstrates ability to meet business needs of department with regular, reliable attendance. *Employee maintains current licenses and/or certifications required for the position. *Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, TJC, DNV, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare. *Completes all annual education and competency requirements within the calendar year. *Is knowledgeable of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse. Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of hospital administrative staff. Takes appropriate action on concerns reported by department staff related to compliance.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $16.03per hour - $25.97per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
