Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is seeking a Supervisor Group Rating Analyst to oversee the Group Rating Analysts, drive quality control, and manage workflows. You will partner with Sales, Actuarial, and Underwriting to ensure accurate ratings and regulatory compliance across processes.

The role supports training, reporting, and continuous improvement while guiding a team in a dynamic health-insurance environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of four years of experience in group rating, underwriting, actuarial work, or health product sales within the health insurance industry.
• Experience with health insurance contracts, rating systems, and alternative funding arrangements.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Group Rating Analysts, ensuring quality control and workflow management.
• Review and approve daily group rating activities and special rating situations.
• Serve as liaison between Group Rating and Sales, Actuarial, and Underwriting.
• Support automation and streamlining of rating processes with Quality & Systems teams.
• Develop and maintain training materials and procedures on rating methodologies.
• Conduct training sessions for Sales, Underwriting, and other departments.
• Assist with concession analysis and reporting to provide insights on rating impacts.
• Review rate exhibits to ensure alignment with financial and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor market trends and propose process improvements in rating methods.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including ERISA and ACA.
