Qualifications

• Mature individual with prior leader/supervisory experience.
• Adequate level of physical fitness to demonstrate exercises and lead classes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to assess patron needs and promote the program.
• Good diplomacy and interpersonal skills when interacting with participants.
• Basic knowledge of marketing/publicity materials and computer hardware/software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one or more group exercise classes including lectures, instruction, and athletic activities.
• Promote positive patron relationships and enhance program image.
• Review shift function schedules to determine required preparations.
• Ensure space, supplies, and equipment are available and room arrangements are completed prior to class.
• Provide instruction and guidance to patrons and supervise class operations.
