Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Manufacturing Team Lead to support daily production schedules and quality goals at our Pleasanton site. You will guide operators, coordinate sub-assembly and work orders, and drive productivity improvements while maintaining GMP standards.

You will mentor staff, ensure training compliance, and collaborate with the manufacturing manager to achieve targets. This role requires experience in electronics manufacturing and regulatory environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of business experience in a professional environment.
• Fluent with multiple applications, preferably Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to document technical information related to manufacturing incidents and nonconformances.
• Experience operating in a 21 CFR 820/ISO 13485 manufacturing environment.
• Background in electronics manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production activity in assigned work areas to meet build schedules.
• Communicate work instructions to personnel in designated areas per supervisory objectives.
• Expedite priority products and tasks in assigned areas.
• Work with the production manager to meet quality and production goals.
• Coach, train and motivate manufacturing personnel to support continuous improvement.
• Ensure training of new manufacturing personnel and provide direct operator training as required.
• Perform inspection of device DHRs to ensure all requirements are met and defects resolved prior to quality review.
• Ensure GMP compliance and safe-working practices are followed.
• Provide input on performance appraisals and training plans.

The Opportunity

The manufacturing team lead will assist manufacturing management to achieve the daily production schedules and quality goals. Provide guidance and be a source of information for operators and support groups in the area. Coordinates the documentation, training and provides inputs for performance appraisal and assists in the employee selection process. Coordinates sub-assembly and work order builds to achieve required productivity goals.

What You'll Work On

• Assists in coordinating production activity in assigned work areas, ensuring that product is processed in accordance with build schedules
• Coordinates communication of work instructions to personnel in designated areas in accordance with supervisory objectives
• Provides assistance in expediting priority product and tasks in assigned areas
• Work directly with production manager to ensure that quality and production goals are met
• Coach, train, and enhance the morale of manufacturing personnel.
• Motivate employees and build teams to support the plant's policy of continuous improvement
• Ensure the training of new manufacturing personnel to the team. Will assist in providing direct training to operators as required
• Perform inspection of device DHR's to ensure that all requirements have been met and that any defects encountered during processing have been appropriately resolved prior to quality review.
• Ensure all procedures are adhered to and that GMP requirements are maintained.
• Ensure safe-working practices are adhered to.
• Provide input on performance appraisals, identify training needs and agree training plans.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Business experience in a professional environment.
• Must be fluent with multiple applications, preferably Microsoft Suite Applications
• Ability to document technical information related to manufacturing incidents and nonconformances
• Proven record in delivering results
• The ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to establish and maintain good working relationships
• Experience operating in a 21 CFR 820/ISO 13485 manufacturing environment
• Background in electronics manufacturing is a plus
