Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in horticulture or related field.
• 2+ years of turf and landscape maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and interpret safety manuals and operating instructions.
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic calculations related to chemical applications and ordering supplies.
• Ability to use landscape maintenance tools and power-driven equipment; prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and assist landscape contractors.
• Order supplies and plant material.
• Assist seasonal employees.
• Maintain turf through mowing, edging, cleaning, and debris removal.
• Plant, weed, mulch, water, trim, prune; snow removal.
• Apply fertilizers and pesticides as appropriate.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment (some motorized).
• Participate in emergency clean-up during severe weather.
• Keep Barn work area clean and organized.
