Job summary

UCI Health, the clinical enterprise of UC Irvine, seeks a Grounds Maintenance Lead to support facilities across Orange County campuses. You will mow, rake, edge lawns, trim bushes and trees, and oversee debris cleanup as part of daily operations.

Under the Facilities Manager, you will lead the team, assign tasks, and prioritize workflow while maintaining tools and equipment. A valid CA driver’s license and 2+ years in grounds maintenance are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of grounds maintenance or gardening experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to lead and serve as a Unit Resource for staff.
• Valid California driver’s license is required.
• Must be available for alternate schedules and overtime including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Background check and DMV Pull Notice required; ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Mow, rake, edge lawns and trim bushes and trees; clean up debris as required.
• Maintain care of tools and equipment; ensure readiness for daily work.
• Lead by making daily assignments and prioritizing workflow for the team.
