Lead Grounds Maintenance Engineer

In this hands‑on leadership role, you'll oversee daily grounds maintenance operations while working alongside your team to keep our property looking its best.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise the Grounds Maintenance team while promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Maintain all outdoor areas through mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, mulching, pruning, raking, and general landscape care.
- Keep sidewalks, walkways, and public areas clean, safe, and free of debris.
- Perform snow removal and apply ice melt during winter weather conditions.
- Coordinate and assist with setup and teardown for special events throughout the property.
- Operate company vehicles and a variety of landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on assigned equipment.
- Train, coach, and support Grounds Maintenance team members while ensuring quality work standards.
- Promote a culture of outstanding guest service for both internal and external guests.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and all company safety policies.
- Participate in departmental meetings and communicate important information with the team.
- Maintain reliable attendance and assist with additional duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- One year of grounds maintenance or landscaping experience preferred.
- Previous lead, foreman, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience operating landscaping equipment and performing preventative maintenance.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining high-quality work.
- Commitment to workplace safety and exceptional guest service.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
