Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Superintendent to lead field supervision on ground-up commercial construction projects in Birmingham, AL. You will coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and site logistics to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role requires five+ years of field supervision, strong communication, scheduling, and proficiency with construction drawings and PM software. Competitive salary reflects experience on large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of construction field supervision experience
• Ground-up commercial construction experience
• Experience leading projects from initialization through turnover
• Knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, manpower, deliveries, and site logistics
• Working knowledge of structural, architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems
• OSHA training and current First Aid/CPR certification
• Valid driver''s license and ability to travel to assigned project locations
• Ability to work in active construction environments

Responsibilities

• Lead field supervision on ground-up commercial projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and site logistics.
• Develop and maintain master schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Ensure safety planning, enforcement, documentation, and corrective action.
• Manage quality control, punch lists, and project closeout.
• Document daily site activity, progress, workforce, safety, weather, and field conditions.
• Coordinate with owners, design professionals, project managers, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal support teams.
• Resolve field conflicts, sequencing issues, and constructability challenges.
• Proficiency with MS Office, scheduling software, and digital construction management platforms.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, organization, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills.
