Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting seeks an experienced Project Director to lead a major greenfield manufacturing project in Georgia, USA. The role covers planning through commissioning, reporting to headquarters, and coordinating with partners across time zones.

The position rides on 10+ years in construction management, budgets, and greenfield delivery, including industrial projects, with PMP preferred. Based in Newnan with travel to LaGrange, you’ll ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience managing construction projects and budgets.
• 5+ years managing large-scale construction projects, including Greenfield.
• Experience delivering at least 5 industrial projects, including one >$100M.
• Greenfield project experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Experience leading design-build firms, contractors, and schedules.
• Willingness to work in Newnan, travel to LaGrange, and coordinate across time zones.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the greenfield project from development through handover.
• Develop and manage scope, budgets, schedules, milestones, and resources.
• Oversee design-build firm, general contractor, engineers, and consultants.
• Monitor critical path, identify risks, and implement solutions.
• Manage changes to scope, schedule, and costs with negotiations.
• Coordinate with operations, procurement, quality, finance, and stakeholders.
• Guide regulatory approvals and permitting processes.
• Promote safety culture and compliance with construction standards.
• Provide senior leadership updates on progress, costs, and risks.
• Participate in weekly calls with international leadership across time zones.
