Job summary

Larian Studios in the United States is seeking a Lead Graphics Programmer to lead and mentor the Graphics team, drive engine development, and ensure top-tier visual fidelity for our award-winning RPGs.

You will collaborate across disciplines, optimize code for performance, port and extend our proprietary engine, and help recruit talented programmers while maintaining high quality and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or managing a graphics team.
• Extensive experience programming for games.
• Excellent C++ skills.
• Strong mentoring and coaching ability.
• Passion for making and playing great games.
• Experience with graphics APIs like DirectX 12 and Vulkan.
• Experience with CPU and GPU profiling tools.
• Multithreading should be second nature.
• Full-time, on-site role.
• Professional level English.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and coach our Graphics team.
• Assist with recruiting of Graphics Programmers.
• Manage code reviews and code features documentation.
• Work in tandem with Larian Studios other programming Leads.
• Assist in maintaining, porting and extending our proprietary engine on multiple platforms.
• Debug and optimize code to hit quality and performance targets.
• Show a strong passion for low level coding and a big interest in performance analysis.
• Complete all tasks in a timely manner and to a consistent high quality standard.
• Develop well designed software within project schedule to team standards.
• Show strong passion for making the highest quality state of the art games.
• Safeguard company assets including source code, art work, tools, technical know-how.
