Job summary

AMD is seeking a senior graphics software engineer to lead architecture and design of GPU SDK components focused on data analysis, frame timing, and latency optimization. You will collaborate with hardware and game developers to improve frame pacing and presentation across platforms.

You will optimize DXGI Swapchain usage, develop telemetry and profiling tools, and mentor a team of engineers on timing-critical techniques within Unreal/Unity or proprietary engines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years in graphics or real-time rendering.
  • Strong C++ and modern design patterns.
  • Experience with DXGI, frame timing, and latency optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture and design of GPU SDK components focused on data analysis, frame timing, and latency optimization.
  • Drive technical direction for frame pacing technologies, input latency reduction, and presentation optimization.
  • Expert implementation and optimization of DXGI Swapchain for various display configurations and timing requirements.
  • Deep analysis of frame timing data, identifying bottlenecks and optimization opportunities across the graphics pipeline.
  • Design and implement telemetry and profiling solutions for latency measurement.
  • Mentor engineering team on performance analysis methodologies and timing-critical optimization techniques.
  • Strategic partnership with hardware architects, display technology teams, and game developers on frame timing and latency solutions.
  • Architect scalable API interfaces for frame pacing and latency measurement tools.
  • Define validation frameworks and quality standards for timing-critical SDK features.
