Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Senior Navigation and Advanced Sensing Engineer to advance digital engineering for complex systems across defense, space, and biotechnology domains. This onsite, full-time role spans trade studies, concept design, integration, testing and operation.

You will lead small teams, translate requirements into technical decisions, perform trade studies, and contribute to proposals.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge and hands-on experience with guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) and GPS/PNT technology.
• Experience enabling GNC or strategic missions, including CONOPS development.
• Experience integrating GNC subsystems within larger systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field; Master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs analysis approaches for problems and executes assignments independently.
• Lead small teams (fewer than five) and align work to program goals.
• Translate requirements into technical and architectural decisions and mitigate risks.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and collaborate with stakeholders across disciplines.
