Job Description

Leads team members who carry out the daily operations of the residency/fellowship program, ensuring the successful implementation of program objectives, maintaining databases, recruiting residents, and promoting effective working relationships with faculty and residents. Responsible for assisting in the development of program policies, procedures, and system processes that are compliant with ACGME, AOA, CPME, and CODA guidelines.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Monitors and coordinates evaluation processes to ensure ACGME milestone evaluations are captured.
  2. Assists in reviewing, assessing, developing, implementing, and enforcing program-specific policies as required by the ACGME and other accrediting bodies; maintains, monitors, and updates all required information on applicable websites, surveys, and electronic databases.
  3. Plans and executes annual residency and/or fellowship recruitment processes, documentation, and events.
  4. Provides administrative and logistical coordination of all aspects of medical education programming in the department.
  5. Prepares and coordinates materials and resources for ACGME self-study and site visit reviews.
  6. Compiles all required documents to ensure the Clinical Competence Committee (CCC) functions according to Program Requirements and standards of the Next Accreditation System.
  7. Prepares, monitors, and disseminates faculty and resident rotations, on-call coverage, work hours, and vacation schedules.
  8. Ensures that applicable events align with established CME guidelines.
  9. Coordinates annual appointment, credentialing, and onboarding processes for existing and new residents and fellows to ensure effective onboarding.
  10. Uses knowledge and skills to contribute to the development of functional objectives and principles to achieve goals in innovative ways. Addresses problems of diverse scope and complexity, ranging from moderate to substantial.
  11. Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here but considered related are not essential functions.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience with demonstrated team leadership required.
