Job summary

Lancaster County seeks a GIS Enterprise Administrator to lead the County’s enterprise GIS initiatives, architect and support on‑premises and cloud GIS, and ensure security, availability, and performance of critical geospatial applications. The role develops data models, automation, and workflows that improve efficiency and data quality.

You will coordinate with departments and vendors, manage geodatabases, and provide on‑call support to keep public safety and emergency systems running reliably.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, CS, or related field and 3+ years IT/GIS experience.
• Experience administering enterprise GIS environments across on‑premises and cloud.
• Strong knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise, databases, security, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the County’s primary GIS administrator for architecture, configuration, and lifecycle management.
• Design and maintain GIS workflows, data models, and web services to improve efficiency and data quality.
• Coordinate with departments, public safety, vendors, and partners on GIS initiatives.
• Monitor availability, performance, and security; provide on‑call support for outages.
• Develop documentation, testing, and deployment procedures for GIS applications.
