Job summary

Payette High School, part of the Payette School District, is seeking a Head Girls Soccer Coach for the 2026-27 school year. The role leads the soccer program, directs practices and contests, and ensures student-athletes develop skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship within an inclusive, safe athletic environment.

The coach supervises all practices and events, coordinates with the Athletic Director, and upholds IHSAA rules and district policies while promoting academic responsibility and character

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct all aspects of the soccer program, including practices and season planning
• Establish and communicate expectations for student-athletes and assistants
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, character development, and academic responsibility
• Foster a positive, inclusive team culture aligned with district values
• Attend and supervise practices, contests, meetings, and school athletic events
• Provide sport-specific instruction and skill development
• Monitor academic eligibility and attendance requirements
• Ensure supervision during travel and competitions
• Promote development of student-athletes' physical, social, and emotional well-being
• Ensure compliance with IHSAA rules and district policies
• Enforce eligibility standards in line with IHSAA and district policy
• Implement concussion protocols and safety procedures per Idaho Code
• Maintain rosters, documentation, and eligibility records
• Care for equipment and its storage
• Recommend and supervise assistant coaches
• Coordinate scheduling, transportation, and logistics with the Athletic Director
• Support fundraising in line with district procedures
• Submit required reports and attend district/IHSAA meetings
• Represent Payette High School professionally and maintain effective communication
• Model integrity, leadership, and appropriate conduct
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or Principal
