Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3+ years of coaching at the high school, club, or collegiate level.
  • USRowing Level 2 certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Demonstrate effective coaching skills and knowledge of rowing rules and race strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Sidwell Friends School and the rowing program professionally in training and competition.
  • Lead winter land-based sessions focused on technique and conditioning.
  • Assist in planning daily practices on the water, rigging and maintenance of shells and equipment.
  • Coordinate spring training logistics and regatta planning.
  • Lead the training and development of novice rowers.
  • Uphold Quaker values and maintain a safe, inclusive team culture.
