Job summary

Basalt High School, part of Roaring Fork School District, seeks a Head Girls Basketball Coach to lead the high school program, inspire student-athletes on and off the court, and model strong character within our school and community.

You will oversee practices, games, offseason training, and staff development, build a positive team culture, coordinate with families and the athletic department, and ensure compliance with district and CHSAA policies.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a girls basketball program at high school or college level.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to connect with student-athletes from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the girls basketball program, including practices, games, offseason training, and team development
• Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined team culture aligned with Basalt High School values
• Support multi-sport participation and academic accountability among student-athletes
• Develop coaching staff and collaborate with lower-level coaches for continuity
• Engage families, alumni, and the community to grow support
• Ensure compliance with Roaring Fork School District and CHSAA policies
• Coordinate facilities, equipment, and team logistics with the Athletic Director
