The coach will work under the Athletic Director and Principal, with responsibilities that emphasize character development, teamwork, and compliance with WIAA guidance and district policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the sport and coaching experience with K-12 athletes preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain before start date.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational leadership skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse student body and families.

Responsibilities

• Develop a program vision emphasizing character development and a positive athlete experience.
• Recruit student athletes for the school team.
• Conduct practices focusing on technique and mechanics.
• Attend and supervise games and execute game strategy.
• Organize, supervise, and evaluate practice sessions.
• Ensure adherence to WIAA, league, and district rules.
• Maintain uniforms and equipment; communicate with staff, students, and families.
• Attend annual Coaches’ Institute training in August.
• Be a positive role model for students and promote respectful conduct.
• Regular attendance to meet program requirements.
