Job summary

Historic Tours of America in St. Augustine seeks a Ghosts and Gravestones Lead Conductor to welcome guests, supervise the tour team, and enrich scripted performances with historical flair. The role includes researching routes, directing actors, and ensuring costumes and props meet historical standards.

You will lead and motivate staff, assist with scheduling, training, and annual reviews, and may perform as a Ghost Host or driver. Competitive pay and training accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Experience in acting, stagecraft, set design, directing, and creative writing is required.
• CDL license with passenger endorsement; will train to acquire CDL if needed.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test; DOT medical exam may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routing changes for nightly tours and coordinate with department managers to schedule tours.
• Supervise employees, assist with scheduling, staffing, hiring, training and annual reviews.
• Ensure staff maintain order during guided tours and address customer issues.
• Assist in developing historical characters and approve costumes/props to ensure historical accuracy.
• May perform as Ghost Host or Ghost Tour Driver when needed.
